The Lord of the Rings: Aragorn's Quest is an action role-playing game set in a colorful rendition of Middle-earth. From a third-person perspective, players take the role of the great hero, in his adventures as Strider, the Ranger of the North, through his defining moments as King in the final battle for Gondor. The hero faces Sauron's evil minions and monsters, on horseback and on foot, winning treasures and ability-boosting artifacts as he levels up. The game also features an arena mode, which allows players to test their battle skills against challenging enemies in small battlefields set around Middle-earth, with a chance to win special items that can be used in the main story mode. From mission to mission, the game's plot unfolds in the recollections of the hobbit Samwise Gamgee, who recalls the great adventures of Aragorn and the War of the Ring for his family in a campfire story.

    Great game ofr younger Lord of Rings Fans

    My son has really enjoyed this game. I noticed it did not get very good reviews from the bigger gaming magazines but those are usually done for a different generation of gamers. My son, who is 9, has really enjoyed playing this game. The co-op play is a nice touch so Mom can join in (Hacking away with the motion controller was really tiresome though so I switched to the regular controller). My son loved using the "Move" controller. The graphics were more cartoon like but I thought were pretty good. My main complaint would be the cost of this game at the store ($60). It is definitely not worth a full gaming price because of the length of the game and graphics but if you can snag it for 30-40 and you are not a hard core gamer then I think you will enjoy this especially if it is for a ...

    Good Family Game

    This game is very god as far as something to play with the family. Relatively simple controls, easy story line to get through, none of the quests are too difficult etc. At the same time, the action scenes of the game can get rather intense, especially when someone joins the game as Gandalf. Parts of the game definitely could of been better. I would give it a 6.5 out of 10. Not a great game, but not bad at all. Great if you are getting something for the kids.

    Aragorn's Quest - PS3

    I played this game on my friends Nintendo Wii system and loved it. The PS3 version of the game is a ported version of the Wii original. It is still fun and I did enjoy playing through the game, but the Wii version was far superior in every way. The Wii mote worked much better than the Sony PS3 move controller, and believe it or not the graphics looked a hell of alot better on the Wii, I don't think this game was designed fo the hd graphics of the PS3. There was alot of screen tearing on the backgrounds and the characters movements were at times more herky jerky too. But it was still fun on the PS3! It is basicially the accounts of what Aragorn's journey to the throne of gondor was as told by Sam to his children. A GREAT game for younger gamers who like the Lord Of The Rings trilogy. But ...

    Aragorn's Quest not so great

    I bought this game because I am a huge Lord of the Rings fan.The story is based off of Aragorn's adventures during the war of the ring. Overall, the game is ok, but looks really cartoony with unrealistic sounds when you attack. There also aren't that many different attacks for you to use. Overall, the game is not really challenging and is more for younger players. Because of this, I feel that Lord of the Rings Conquest is the better choice for older gamers.
