I've operated 2 of these printers in a 24/7 office environment for nearly 20 years. In that time I've replaced the printers once each. That means I've seen more than 10 years of nearly continual printing from each 321 I've used. Easily the most dependable printer I've ever utilized. There is no better printer available for dependability but you must understand it is limited in other ways. The speed and print quality are certainly below that of any non-dot matrix printer and only average for a dot matrix style printer. Also, these Oki's are not very quiet. They, also, cast a rather large and unconventional footprint. If you need a dependable workhorse, perhaps for archival of printed data, and don't have a strong need for high-quality print then this would be your printer.
OKI printers are built like a tank. The one I replaced this one with was 13 years old and used 5 days a week for all 13 years so it finally wore out. If most products held up this well it would be great!
we had a printer like this at work and it finally broke down after over 15years of use. So there was no discussion, buy it again.
