We had three phones on the system and wanted to add one, they work well. Remember to "deregister" the additional used handset using the code *331734# before trying to register the handset to your existing base station per the instructions. Otherwise the additional handset will not work as it tries to connect to its original. The instructions with the base station does not cover that detail and I had to find it online at Yahoo answers.

the phone looks to be in good order, however I have a different model and although the phone looks just like the ones I have, apparently it can't "connect". It said connect as soon as I got it, and then I disconnected all of my phones and reconnected them. The new one still said "connect' but never did. I tossed it aside and will check on it later. If I can't use it so be it. The battery is dead and I'll get a new one and try it. If that doesn't work, at least I'll have a new spare battery. I'm not making any big deal out of this.

This 'smart' expandable phone system is top rated and I agree. It was very easy to set up, from the menu on the answering machine to all the individual phones registering themselves. Reception is good and range is surprising, even outside in a metal workshop. The one annoyance that I have with the handsets is that they are to flat. When holding them to your ear, particulary with the shoulder (I know BAD!) you tend to hit the "off" or end button and so disconnecting the call. One feature I wish the phone had and have found quite useful with other cordless sets, it the ability to change channels. I live near a Air force Base and with the ability to change channels or frequencies, the signal the phone has and transmits can be made clearer or stronger. Over all it is a good quality system and would recommend it to others and I would purchase it again.Read full review
Excellent phone with a few missing elements. This phone has a good set of features, excellent clarity throughout my home, easy to setup, conveniently can manage up to 12 headsets and a few other nice touches. Now for the not so good: No true hold button. You can not label/name the handsets & only two people can be on the handset (with and outside call). That's about it. I still rate this phone a good purchase.
The best part is the range and the crystal clear conversations. I tried earlier AT&T wireless phones and they were not any better than the Uniden I had been using. Now with AT&T I can walk all the way out back and out into the middle of the street in front and there is no cutting out, easily I am getting an additional 25 feet from the base in every direction. The intercom is as crystal clear with no back ground noise at all, and you can call just the extention you want, all the phones do not have to ring, just the one you want. And the speaker is great as I do not hear so good these days. One thing I would like AT&T to do is to include a wireless "door Phone" where all the phones ring when the phone door bell is pushed and you can "answer" the door from any phone in the house. Also the option of water proof phones would be nice. I had to keep one Uniden base so I could continue to use my two swimming pool proof phones. A minor inconvience. This new AT&T phone is the best phone I have ever used. I am really glad I took a chance and tried it out. When I walked out into the street and called the guest house way out back and the conversation was crystal clear I knew this model was a keeper.Read full review
