Great replacement for Seiko V158
I had a new (unused) Seiko Solar V158 that was sitting locked up in a drawer for 2 years and the movement stopped. I kept it in the sun for several days to recharge but it did not work. It was time to change the solar battery. Going to Seiko repair center or even to a local jeweler would have cost a fortune. I searched Ebay and found "partsplususa" and they had the right battery for my watch. it was reasonably priced and was shipped instantly. I got the battery installed within a few days with a wathc repair kit that I ordered from Amazon separately. Putting the tiny screw back in the watch to hold the battery was a pain but I managed somehow in the end. All in all, the watch runs and I hope it will last for a long time. Watch repaired
My Seiko had stopped working. After checking local repair shops, they wanted $75.00- $100.00 to replace the Battery (capacitor ) . I ordered a watch repair kit, needed to remove the back of the watch. After removing the back of the watch, I could see the battery number. I ordered the battery. I replaced the battery and the watch is working good. The repair kit and battery cost about $41.00 total. I'm happy I got my watch running again.My Seiko had stopped working. This was the exact replacement part from the same OEM for the part that came in the SEIKO watch. Be careful not to misplace the tiny-tiny battery hold screw when replacing this part. I almost did. (The fact that the original part stopped working after 2 years of use is a different issue altogether, however.)
