Chose this one because of its reviews and it’s small physical size, some machines are huge. Read the instructions, run the initialisation, made the water hardness, temperature adjustments and brewed a latte, belissimo, 95% as I wanted it on first attempt. A tweet on the amount and volume of milk, and my next cup was 100%. A brilliant small machine, wife is happy because it’s not too big( they just don’t understand do they?). Buying from the German co “Deltatecc” was so simple, communication was excellent, invoice emailed over to me on the day I bought it, checked with Krups UK, the two year guarantee is international and so good for UK. And the price was between £100-£300 lower than other sellers. There really is no need to spend more to get an excellent cup of coffee, 100% recommended, brilliant.Read full review

Easy to set up, perfect brew first time. You will need a UK visitor plug as it comes with an EU plug. Perfect machine, great coffee & frothy milk :) Brews at a hot temperature. Able to set the volume of coffee from 20ML to 120ML and just press the button twice and get two coffees, or a double in a bigger cup. Strength can be adjusted at the grinder and there is a push button for stronger coffee as well. I find the normal coffee strength is perfect for me with the grinder at the finest setting. A lovely compact machine that sits on the worktop next to the kettle. Aesthetically looks the business, very smart and modern. I have looked around for a couple of months now and decided on this because of the positive reviews and the amazing price, and I am very glad at my final choice. You will not be disappointed with this machine and I hope to get many happy years use form it.Read full review

My second espresso machine from Krups. The first one being Krups EA8250, a slightly higher end model. So I tend to comapre a lot between these two machines. The EA8108 vs EA8250. Firstly this machine does all that its advertised to do. Easy to use, brews decent coffee, average build quality and so on. But a few finer points you should know before buying this unit. Being a lower end unit, it does NOT come with the Claris F088 filter. You can buy this as an optional accessory and just screw it on. So this will add up to the cost if you decide to add the Claris filter cartridge. Noting that the EA8250 comes equipped with a Claris filter cartridge. Second, the coffee temperature is a bit lacking compared with the EA8250. While I used to get really hot coffee with the EA8250, but this unit does not brew as hot coffee. It is still acceptable, but its just that - acceptable. Third, the coffee strength is also a bit weaker. Maybe this needs some getting used to, but the EA8250 extracts out very nice and stong coffee from the beans, but the coffee from this unit tastes a bit weak. Then lastly of course is the build quality and interface. I really don't mind this as I knew beforehand what I was getting. Being a cheaper variant, the buttons, etc are not as plush, but still functions perfectly. So it still scores full marks here. The final verdict - if I were to buy again. I will NOT buy the EA8108 because the coffee is just not as good as the EA8250. I would rather spend a bit more and get the EA8250 because these machines are for keepers. Actually my EA8250 is still working perfectly fine and its already past 4 years and never had a problem.Read full review
