Replacing this Microprocessor from Intel 32 bit Architecture to the newer 64 bit instruction set gave my old obsolete IBM Z61T Laptop new life. Now my New Old Lap runs all the newer programs and operating systems. I had an Intel T2300 and the replacements possible are Intel T7400, T7200 or T7600. Runs Great. Be sure to update your BIOS to the newest Version or you will not have the capabilities like running SSD Hard drives or the advanced Intel instructions sets. I Watched Youtube to help me take apart the old lap. MADE MY 16 Year OLD Laptop Run Much Faster!

Just be sure you are comfortable taking apart your computer before ordering this. I consider it an easy job but I've been taking things apart since I was child and successfully putting them back together again. But, stepping outside your comfort zone and trying something new is a good thing too. If you fail will ruin your day?

Bought this for my dead Alienware Area51 M9750 laptop, dropped it in and pasted it. Unfortunately it did not fix my issue, my laptop will still not turn on. Replacing the CPU was just a shot in the dark after replacing the power supply and some other parts. Looks like I'll have to replace the motherboard and/or the video cards next. But I'll probably just replace the whole laptop due to the price.
Works as well as it should if new. Good upgrade to a low spec laptop. Well packaged. Poor tracking on shipment. Happy

Replaced a Core2Due 2.0 GHz 2MB Cache CPU with this version that has 4MB cache. Upgraded my Dell Latitude D620 laptop. Doesn't make a noticeable difference for most things, but it really shines in programs like Photoshop. Worth the upgrade for the price!
