I purchased this as an experiment to see if it could brighten up a Martin D15m Burst. It took a little sanding to get it to fit perfectly but once installed and set up, the D15 became alive and the saddle unlocked the full potential of the guitar. The D15m comes stock with a bone nut and saddle and I was a little hesitant about putting a man made saddle into this beautiful guitar. However, I'm glad I did!

Use a Tusq for your tone instead of a bone. I installed a Tusq saddle in one of my guitars. This will improve your tone a lot and may also add some volume. A very noticeable difference with my guitar. All my acoustic guitars will get a Tusq saddle.

I like the Shimmer and shine that it puts on my acoustic guitars. It requires little bit of sanding, and is set to your likings, it will give a enjoyable sound. I normally change the pins, and also put a tusq compensated saddle.

Best saddle and bridge pin material available today in my opinion. It brings out a little more of a direct and focus sound on any instrument. Bone is a great material as well but to me tusq just puts a little more of a bright tone into the instrument without drowning out the bass!! Defanatly worth a try for anyone. I tusq on my martin hd 35.

Great Martin-sized saddle! After installing a new pickup on my Sigma D-7, the original saddle sat too low, so I needed to order another. Shipping was amazingly fast, arriving in two days. It was easy to sand down to size, and after installation, the guitar sounded marvelous. I highly recommend this compensated saddle for acoustic guitar!
