I really like this guitar it plays very nice and I believe the pick ups might be just a little hotter than the ones on my Paul Reed McCarty. Of coarse the McCarty is quite a bit more pricy than the SE but comparing it with the higher range the SE is a pretty good quality guitar.

Why did I buy the PRS SE Custom 24? I wanted a new guitar, one that I could count on as being of good quality, with a big variety of great sounds. I also wanted it look sharp, be decently priced, and be from a reputable company. I looked at other guitars, and this is the one I liked best. What do I like/dislike? I think it's great! I can't really find anything that I dislike about the guitar. Compare to others: It's lighter than most Epiphone Les Pauls, but has humbuckers. And it has a slightly shorter fretboard than the Squire or Fender guitars (which is more comfortable for me), but again has the humbucker sound.
I’ve been eyeing the PRS double cutaway custom 24 for awhile. Glad I was able to pull the trigger on this one for around $325. It sounds good and is a very pretty axe.
