I have played through the Xbox version of Shenmu...e II but I knew I have to play it were it belonged... On the Dreamcast... I believe that the controls are much easier on the Dreamcast even though they are mapped the same. Unless you are a collector as myself, I would recommend just getting the Xbox version. It runs and were from 2 to 20 dollars USD as the Dreamcast Version runs anywhere from 50 to 200 USD. The only thing that I don't like about the Dreamcast version is the Japanese voice acting. I much more personally like the Cheesy English voice acting. I speak 6 languages and 2 of them are Mandarin Chinese and Japanese. I find it kind of silly for everyone in China speaking Japanese. It's a little easier to believe them speaking English being that more people in China speaking English than America... Hard to believe... but true. The bottom line... This is my favorite game of all time... Shenmue 1 is my second... Hopefully one day I will get to see the end of the series and finally take revenge on Lan Di!
Incredible game. Few games makes you feel like this one does.... Yu Suzuki filled with heart every single detail in the game making the Shenmue Saga still alive in the memory of those that have ever played it once. For game-killers may be a bit slowly. For game-adventurers this is one of the greatests games ever. You will find the best Hong-Kong 'KungFu' action, RPG, adventure and the immersive story of Ryo Hazuki looking for the man who killed his father...
One of the best games ever played. If you enjoyed... Shenmue 1 then you MUST do everything possible to play Shenmue 2. The graphics are beautiful and the story is fantastic. Only problem is that the game ending will make you want to play Shenmue 3 which hasn't and may never be made. If you don't respect the Dreamcast then this game will make you. We need Shenmue 3!
The Best game of this kind, extensive an dlot of hours of... games, with a great history and lot of minigames, if you still have a Dreamcast this game it´s a MUST HAVE Regards
