It's easy to play records and it sounds pretty good. Windows 10 does not recognize it and so doesn't record to file without a little extra work. You'll need a patch cable to go from RCA jacks on turntable to line in on sound card. Audacity is included so it's a matter of setting up Audacity to look for a line in signal. Once you do that, it plays and records to file. It easily records to .ogg file and there's an option to record to an .mp3 file but takes extra software, so I stuck with the .ogg. Some records, mostly 45s go farther towards the center of the record and so the auto stop "feature" stops the turntable before the end of the music on some records and therefore doesn't finish playing the record. Most 33s have been fine, but every 45 I've tried so far has stopped before the end.

The sole reason I purchased this item was for the fact that I was looking for something cheap and inexpensive for my children to have. Mission accomplished. I had also been saving boxes of children's 45's (stories, Disney, etc.) for them. TOO BAD. NOWHERE do the makers of VIBE state that "warning: this unit does not play 45's completely to the end." It automatically STOPS playing the 45 about 3/4 of the way through when it "senses" that it is overwith. Which, is really unfortunate when a little girl can't even hear her Scooby-Doo 45 story all the way through. Cheap! So consider this information, and take heed.

For the past couple of weeks I have used this turntable to import all the vinyls that my dad had when he was younger. This USB turntable is more than I could have asked for. Without it, I would have had to purchase all of these albums on iTunes or Amazon. As expected, I do hear some pops and crackles when playing/recording the vinyl, but I don't mind them, since they make playback seem special and more authentic. As the manual for the USB turntable recommends, I use Audacity to record and edit the recording for the vinyl. The pops and crackles can be made less noticeable by applying a noise reduction effect. It is a little bit difficult to learn how to name separate tracks from the recording, and I wish I knew of an easier way to automatically label them, so I listen to the YouTube version of a song and compare it to the song in the recording to manually label the beginning of each track. However, I do notice that the vinyl recording lacks bass. I cannot tell whether this is a defect in the turntable or if this is meant to be the case for a turntable of this price, but it's not a big deal because I can always increase the bass in Audacity. I recommend this turntable for anyone who is eager to import their vinyls.Read full review

I bought this because it was cheap and it was my first time using Vinyl records. Though it is specifically made to read the records and export the sound into a Windows PC for recording as mp3, it can also playback the record. The included speakers are ok. They are not the greatest sound, but they do the job, and the machine includes audio-out interface to connect to different speakers if you want better sound. It is incredibly easy to use. It draws power from the USB interface, so you can plug the included USB cable to a generic phone charger and it'll do the job. It has two speed settings, so you can listen to records in both speeds. Again, super easy to use. I was playing my first record within minutes of opening the package. Almost as easy as my first CD.

This machine works great right out of the box! Cheap, easy to use and very decent quality for being so affordable. There is no wall adapter included, but any USB wall plug seems to power it fine. I bought an RCA (red&white) to Auxiliary (1/8th inch) adapter to plug the sound into my speakers through a regular headphone jack. The built in speakers work well, although of course they have limited range (more highs than lows), but still good quality and somewhat of a full sound for small speakers. As for using this to convert vinyl to mp3 or WAV on the computer, it seems to work flawlessly. Just download Audacity (free sound editing program). Simply make sure the computer recognizes the device, hit record in Audacity, and play the record. Before you know it you have a high quality recording of your favorite vinyl! (I'm primarily using this player to sample records for making electronic music and sounds). All in all seems to be a great record player at a low price! I'm happy with the purchase and would recommend to someone who wants to play vinyl on a budgetRead full review
