    Perfect replacement handbrake cable

    This handbrake cable was a perfect replacement for the broken one on my Mitsubishi Grandis. Length and attaching brackets were identical to the broken one that needed replacing, and quality appeared just as good as far as I can tell. Fitment is essentially straightforward. You'll need to remove the wheel, brake caliper, and brake disk/hub (top tip - there are 2 threaded holes in the hub, screw a pair of bolts into these holes to drive the hub off). Take a couple of photos of the brake shoes so you can see how they go back together! Also remove the trim around the handbrake, three screws all hidden behind covers. The cable passes through a hole to the interior just in front and inboard of the rear wheel, and mostly runs inside the cabin below the rear seats. It is held to the floor ...
