I bought the book to support the project, and wasn't sure how complicated the recipes would be. Not being someone who wants to devote loads of time to cooking, I tend to go for recipes with not too many ingredients, that are easy to cook and that taste good. I like ethnic food and spices. The book is beautifully produced, inspiring to read, has wonderful photographs of the women cooking together, and a real sense of community and harmony. The photographs of the food look amazing too. I haven't had the book long so have only made two or three recipes, but all of them suit my criteria - not too complicated, not too many ingredients - and the meals I've made so far have lived up to the pictures - they are really delicious. The aubergine dish and coriander chicken curry are out of this world! Both my (adult) children, who are staying with me during the lockdown, really liked them. We take it in turns to cook so I am looking forward to trying out many more of these delicious recipes.Read full review

Nice book, well made, nicely thought out. Lovely and different ideas for meals your regular british person wouldnt be able to make without this nice instruction, so thank you those who contibuted. I like the idea its for charity when it was so tragic for the families involved, i feel i am helping in a small way.
