The only problem I had was with antenna port. I installed it in my 1998 Chevrolet Lumina. The antenna port on my radio did not match the size of the purchased adapter. The installer of my new sirius xm radio did okay, but did not install the modulator, so there was a lot of static after exhausting the list of"empty FM stations". I knew I needed this modulator, so I purchased it on ebay. I utilized the antenna port adapter from my previous xm radio, which was not stolen when my previous xm radio was stolen. (It was still on my FM radio when the Satellite XM radio was stolen... but did not fit my new Sirius XM radio.) I managed to make all the connections, even though I had to use some foil to get a snug fit on the antenna. Now I get really clear reception.

If you are tired of the station fading out because you are using FM modulation to listen to your XMSIRIUS radio, this will solve the problem. You must be able to access the back of your vehicle radio to disconnect the antenna and plug this item in, but once that`s done, reception of your satellite radio will sound clear as if it`s wired direct. It`s because this item detects when you turn on your XM radio and cuts off the FM signal. Note: Be sure you get the adapters because some vehicle antennas are different sizes. Be aware also that you will need to bring a line out from this item and plug it in your xm unit.

After purchasing the correct antenna cable adapters, this was easy to install and easy to use. Much better reception than using the built-in FM transmitter function of the XM docking kit.

Does what it's supposed to and now I don't get the bleed over from powerful stations when in a more populated area! Works great! Only thing is you might need an adapter of some sort. My GM radio uses a smaller antenna input than came with the unit... other than that no problems.

The cords had split open wires we didn't see it in time plugged into our xm and it started smoking luckily my husband got it pulled out and unplugged before it ruined the whole radio. Will not buy again.
