I have a slight megaboom obsession
I now own five megabooms - and as long as they are available at or near this price point, I'll continue to grow my stable. One speaker alone has a really rich, full sound - good, balanced depth and clarity for such a small form-factor. But it's in pairing them that the Megaboom really shines. The app makes it simple to link as many speakers as you have, and MAN can they fill a space with sound! They REALLY flex their muscles, though, outdoors. I had three with me on a camping trip with friends, and had them spaced outside our campfire ring. When I fired up the symphonic version of "In Your Eyes" by Peter Gabriel, conversation literally stopped. Some friends who have the UE BOOM speakers said, "Ooooh, we're gonna get some of those!" I've had an issue with one speaker from my original pair. ... I now own five megabooms - and as long as they are available at or near this price point, I'll continue to grow my stable. It won't hold a charge, and sometimes has to be powered-on four or five times before it will stay on. It was still under warranty when this began, but the process of getting it serviced was more trouble than it was worth. As long as I keep it plugged in, it works fine (and still sounds incredible!) The other four are flawless.

Great speaker
I had the smaller bon (UE Boom) and I was already impressed. Now I got the Megaboom. The sound that you get out of this is amazing. There's no distortion even when playing loud music. Iwhere it really shines is outdoors. It just seems more optimized to play in open outdoor areas, where other speakers tend to be more directional. I think for the amount of sound that it produces, you would mistake it for a much larger speaker, and it can cover a pretty wide. Battery is also no complain. Best speaker in price range
Great speaker that is loud and has more than enough bass for your needs. It also has clarity and the sound isn't muddled. I bought and returned a few speakers before settling on the Megaboom - now I've bought multiple megabooms/booms and everybody loves them! Download the app so you can tweak your EQ settings, especially if switching between watching shows and movies and listening to music.
