I think this item (which was one of four bought at the same time as part of a special offer) had to be re-despatched. I told them it didn't arrive with the other books so they made arrangements to get it to me ASAP. They said it would be despatched within 48 hours and it was despatched within 24. I had it on my doorstep in 3 days, in very good condition as described. Very happy with the price and the service, highly recommended seller. Very professional.

  • Never was so much told to so many by so good a writer

Max Hastings is a modern master of retelling history in a way that attracts the baby boomers. (I.e. those born in 1953 just post war like me). He reveals warts and all and tells anecdotal stories to bring dry facts to life. This book isno different. They should all be essential reading for schools. This generation may appreciate what the last ones did then. We live in hope........

  • A good read.
