Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes finally opens up the planes of the DnD Multiverse for 5th Edition with new Character options, Monster stats and lots of lore for Dungeon Masters looking to run planar adventures. I'm part of a Planescape campaign and I know this book has helped our Dungeon Master plot our doom more thoroughly.

I have been collecting up the 5th edition dungeons and dragons books for a short while now and most of the others books contain a few races, new spells, character class options and the like. This book is just monsters and some gunf about how some of the races live, which unless your playing in a straight from the book game seems pointless, and monsters. Volo's guide to monsters is a better book by far for a GM to buy, and if you want a new monster a quick google search would reap the same rewards.

Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes is perfect for my needs. It contains a focused increase to the population of contructs and fiends which factor into much of the major plot of my game, which could be meaningful parts of yours. The first few chapters are mostly background, which to be is disinteresting, but the monsters make up for that in the increase CR monsters generated by Wizards. All in all, worth the money (this was the cheapest I found anywhere online!).
