A fair stab at an old story...
Pretty good stuff. A bit of a teen-flick with plenty of claret splashed about. Two sisters, loners at school, are attacked by a werewolf; the elder (Ginger) is infected with 'werewolfitis'. She begins to change, and we get to see the effects of this from the younger sister's point of view. Whilst Ginger is busy growing a tail, devouring the local pet dogs and enjoying (newly acquired) attention from the lads at school, young sis is busy trying to find a cure and clearing up / hiding the evidence of her sisters 'problem'. I enjoyed this a lot. A lot of BAD werewolf films have been made, and this is not one of them. I like the personal approach the film takes, and could not stop feeling sympathy for Ginger and her sister at the climax of the film. There is a lot of dark humour in the ... Pretty good stuff. Most people would say "oh god no not another werewolf story" but when you see the whole three films you have to sit back and say "Brilliant shame there isn't a fourth”. I have not seen many like this before and for the first film working on a small budget and being able to pull off such a fantastic story the credit has to go to the two young girls that made this film work. Most of the new breed of horror films that come out today have two thing's in mind blood and sex .This film not lacking in the blood department for one minute but thankfully in the other just made me respect it more. Yes it does have it's sexy moments but the biggest thrill was watching "Ginger" (Katharine Isabelle) go from a nerd to a rather hot young sexual T-Rex during her battle with becoming a lycan .And "Brigitte" ... My verdict buy it and enjoy if you don't like the film then at least Katharine Isabelle will put a smile on any red blooded males face.

i bought this film as i had seen the second one first and though i wonder if this one was good as second was now this one wasnt as good i thought yes theres so gore in it but not as gripping as the second ginger snaps so i dont know weather i would reccomend it or not ok to see once but not probbley to watch again .
