Fast delivery and good value but compasses are not suitable for Army Cadets as we use degrees not mils on the outer circle of the dial for our navigation and DOE training. I will return items for a refund or exchange if possible.

  • Top critical review

    Useless garbage, avoid.

The compass works semi-well only on perfectly level surface, making it useless outdoors. The needle gets blocked all the time, so it is close to impossible to find exact north. If you are happy to know the north with 20 degrees tolerance then feel free to buy it. This is a toy, not a tool. If army ever uses it, god help us.

  • Rubbish does not work

Do not buy this compass it does not work- glad I wasnt on a mountain with a map as this compass would only get you lost, the dial just keeps spinning and when it stops it then moves it cant make its mind up

  • Disappointed

The needle doesn't move freely and the materials and construction aren't of very good quality. The rotating bezel is marked in 64 positions which doesn't seem to be of any purpose. Not of any practical use.

  • Disappointing

The North magnetic needle doesn't settle quickly, and the final direction is a few degrees inconsistent with other compasses. This would make navigation difficult in areas without defined paths. It might be OK for navigation on Way marked paths. It would be helpful to have a continuous line along the middle of the compass, currently there is just an arrow.
