This model has its critics because it doesn't have lights, is a little lighter than some and uses traction tyres. Run in on my HM2000 controller, awaiting my sound decoder. But, NONE of those matter. This is a fantastic loco from getting it out of the box, to its first run. It is smooth, quiet, powerful and quick. The paintwork and print is brilliant and to be fair, for around £70, detailed enough and runs like a dream thanks for all wheel pick up and driven axles. Overall, it isnt as detailed as the Bachmann or Hattons versions, lights can be retro fit, can be weathered and when my decoder arrives, all that with sound for under £120 is astonishing. Best running diesel loco in my fleet. WELL DONE HORNBY!!
