Lynn Barber shares her life with the reader brilliantly in this book. Immediatly you get a feel for the author's sense of humour, and that's one that personally I can connect with, making this a page turner for me and I finished it very quickly. As Bernard L. Black once said; "You'll laugh, you'll cry, it'll change your life." Spot on. I really felt for Lynn during the last few chapters and I love how she paints the picture of her youth so well. I wouldn't recommend buying a book if you want a book of the film, as the story in the film is one chapter in the book, but if you want the film written down word for word into a novel for you then you probably shouldn't be buying a book in the first place, you should buy the film. If you want a nourishing autobiographal read that you can't put down then do buy this book. Buy it now.Read full review
Completely different to what expected but enjoyed! Thought it would be more based to what the film is but thats only a segment of the book, realised at the beginning its not a story its a memoir but enjoyed it!
