I've never seen so much finely-executed detail on a commercially made model, let alone one this small! The livery is beautifully applied, with the finest imaginable lining;- I've been a professional modelmaker for 40 years, & this is as good as I've seen anywhere.. The loco itself is surprisingly heavy for it's diminutive size, & runs quietly & smoothly, though I wouldn't expect it to cope very well running slowly over insulfrog points, given the short wheelbase. I'm glad to see more versions of this loco coming up in Hornby's 2020 range, & I'd thoroughly recommend you get one if your layout features any kind of industrial exchange sidings.. An absolute gem of a model..

For those who like small locos and running them on compact layouts the Peckett is just brilliant. Super performance at realistic speed, even crawling and detail is amazing. Has space for DCC decoder and being DCC ready, so easy to fit. Perhaps I'm biased? I have 5 of them and 2 more on pre-order.
