The model is well made, with very finely moulded details such as delicate rivets and panelling. The finish is smooth, and evenly applied. The green colour seems a little pale at first sight, but is a reasonable match for the early shade of paint used by the Southern Railway in the 1920's. The model is fitted with the very narrow style NEM couplers, though the Roco style ones are supplied as alternatives. Personally I prefer the medium width style of couplers, which mate better with the older Hornby and Mainline types I use as standards; changing them over takes only a few moments. A nice model - this and one of the brake-thirds look really good behind my Southern liveried M7Read full review
