As I developed a thyroid conversion deficiency, selenium 200mcg helps to convert the parat hormone Tetrajodthyronine (T4) into the active Trijodthyronine (T3). This deficiency is rather hard to discover. The usually checked TSH level is far too rough. But when you check the free T3/T4 you see the ratio which should be around 1:5, so 20% of the T4 should be converted into the active T3. If not, if the T3 is too low, the conversion does not work properly. It is recommended to pause the intake of selenium after taken the 120 tablets (4 months). I leave a gap of 2 months before I start a new course.
