Features every episode from season four of the series about Angel, a vampire attempting to atone for his past sins. With a few close and good-looking friends he opens up Angel Investigations and becomes a vigilante determined to fight the forces of evil, which run rampant in the city streets. Season 4 opens with Angel being held captive at the bottom of the ocean by a secretly mutinous Connor, while Cordelia has been called to a higher plane by the Powers That Be. After everyone has been reunited within a few episodes, a new villain is unleashed: The Beast, with whom Angel's alter ego, the evil vampire Angelus, used to be in cahoots, has returned from exile to terrorise L.A. Angel is severed from his 'good' side by his friends in order to pump his 'bad' side for information about this new nemesis. While Angelus escapes to wreak havoc alongside his old demon friend, uber-villain Jasmine arrives to throw the themes of the show into a cosmic light.

Really good but losing interest for more
Arrived as promised in very good condition. No marks on discs. Really enjoyed all but last episode. Seems to be losing its way and my interest. Won't be buying final series though really enjoyed all others.

Amazing if you like that sort of thing
I am a fan of Angel - it's action, adventure, monsters (humans and daemons) and intelligent witty dialogue all seem to have purpose and style, rather than just being done because they can. The team at Angel Investigations fall out from time to time and realistically the friendship dynamic changes accordingly. It has a story that holds my interest and keeps me wanting more. It has large story arcs as well as stand alone episodes and thus has an ebb and flow that feels quite natural for a series. This sort of thing should be watched from the first episode of the First Season (which has a shaky start to be fair, seeming to lack direction for the first 10 or so episodes) in order. Season 4 is perhaps the darkest, but brings together many seemingly random and bizarre events from previous ... The viewer's concepts of right and wrong, good and evil, are challenged in the "Jasmine" episodes, as we are asked "What price peace?". If you like to skim across the top of TV Sci-fi drama then you may not get much from this, but if you like to digest the story and consider the situations of characters then this is a truly amazing work of entertainment and may enlighten you at the same time. I hope you enjoy.

I wanted to complete my DVD set and I love Angel series when it aired on Sky all those years ago. Shame it ended.
