Cheap but shouldn't be necessary
The only reason I bought these were for the small wiring connectors (two in a pack) to fix the ones that broke with the starter scalextric set - both cars falied after less than an hours play which didn't go well on christmas day. Fortunately I can wield a soldering iron but these small crimp connectors are quite flimsy and don't solder well - hence the purchase. A shame that the cars are made very cheaply and that I couldn't get the connector separately but only as part of a braid set that I don't need. Other than all that, the product is fine and arrived very quickly from the seller. They get 5 stars, Scalextric get 2 stars for messing up what should have been a good starter set.

To get the best out of your scalelectric cars and to keep them running smoothly you need to change the contacts every 4 or 5 uses so it’s a good thing they are cheap

Inexpensive - but perfect
These discs include a handy fitting guide and I was soon able to change out the old braid-discs and get my older Scalextric cars up to speed - much to the joy of my grandson. An excellent product at a miniscule price.
