I have a PowerShot S90 which is always in my pocket for when my phone camera just won't do, but when a better zoom range than 3.8x was needed I had no where to go. I no longer wanted a full SLR - I have worked with professional cameras all my working life - so I started looking at 'bridge cameras'. I decided on Canon because of the software I already had on my PC and the SX60 HS seemed to tick all the boxes. It didn't have to be ultra fast, nor did I need the ultimate in image quality - although I don't know why some people have been a bit sniffy about the Canon. Being able to control the camera from my smart phone was a feature I hadn't looked for, but can certainly think of some occasions when I might use it. 65x optical zoom is beyond anything I am likely to use although I have to admit that a hand held shot of the moon, filling the frame, was an incredible surprise. Over all it is delightful and now goes with me wherever I go.Read full review

Just love my New camera. Still getting the hand of using all the functions. Used many different types of canon cameras in the past. Never the less, obtaining some great pictures of the moon etc. Don't want put it down! Only advise is to purchase a suitable casing for your new camera as it doesn't come with one. Otherwise fantastic product! Cheers
