What does seem a bit silly is an email from them that says “as a final confirmation that it is the right part do compare it with the old part when it comes off” Makes complete sense - until it arrives it its box with a note on the box that says non returnable if you break the seal on the box.     A good quality cable that's an exact fit

    Clutch cables on Mk2 Golfs should be changed regularly. They rarely break but they get stiffer over time, which can cause damage to the bulkhead. So, best replace if in doubt. This Borg and Beck cable is original equipment quality and excellent value. It's an exact fit and although these cables are quite fiddly to set up, good quality one don't stretch and shouldn't need re-adjusted.
