The word quiet was the first word describing this fan, and the reason I bought it. Although I've not had one of these fans before it is impossible for me to compare it, however, quiet would not be my choice of words to describe this product. On the whole, this fan does a brilliant job cooling down the room, easy to fit the base, and comes with extra screws. Good value for the price.
