The seal is very hard to open, the water spills when drinking because the hole is too wide. I bought this based on my family's recommendation but apparently there are different types of caps and this one is terrible. I complained but they would not replace it. Highly recommended product. The best mug I have ever had. I use it for my tea, and it keep the tea hot for hours. Easy to clean both the lid and mug. For tea, I fill 2 cm of cold water in the mug before I fill the hot water for tea to avoid burning my lips.

I bought one of these about 6 months ago after being fed up with the cheap travel mugs not keeping my drinks warm, OK it's not still boiling after 6 hours or so but it's still warm enough, I bought this item for my wife as we do a lot of camping with our kids and normal by the time we've got all the morning events out of the way and sat down to breakfast my coffee is usually stone cold, not anymore. Keeps item both cold and hot as advertised. Only two issues: great care needed to make sure lid is properly installed. If not it will leak when you take that first sip. Also over time the rubber gaskit inside the lid will become loose. Again you are going to get Very Wet and basically NOT fixable.
