My 7yr old loves playing with this star wars fighter. He managed to build all on his own, needing no help from me (I was disappointed because I like to build too). Would recommend. Its simplistic in design compared to others but this is reflected in the price.
Bought as an Xmas present for my nephew who loves lego. It was a great choice he loves it and it goes great with the rest of his lego collection.
I took something of a chance when I bought this item as I have never seen the 'Clone Wars' series on which this model is based. I come from an older, wiser Lego fraternity pitching the Black Knights against the Dragon Knights in the mid 90's. I went through a spell in the early 00's when I bought a couple of earlier Star Wars Lego models. This is my return to the franchise and I can honestly say I was not dissapointed. The two mini figures in the set are great, especially Anakin and his 'two sided head' which can be turned either way to effectively make two characters. The model itself looks brilliant and feels solid and durable. It's quite heavy and doesn't fall apart easily so it would be a good starter kit for younger Lego fans. I can't comment on how realistic an emulation of the ship that this model is based on is as like I said before, I've not seen the show. The only negative comment I can make is that this kit utilises self applicable stickers unlike older Lego where designs would be printed into the bricks. Perhaps this is more of a general criticism towards this new generation of Lego in particular but it's something I'm not a fan of. All in all this model is sleek, solid and cheap and at the cheaper end of these new Star Wars kits. I don't think you can go too far wrong for the money.Read full review
