A very good product, browner than the very black Wilko equivalent but about a third less in cost than buying small bags. One standard feeder can have 4 greenfinches at once with 3 others waiting to take their place or eating the seeds dropped on the ground below the feeder, with chaffinches and doves picking up the overspill. Having lived in the same house for 40 years, until earlier this year when l purchased inadvertently a Niger seed feeder - and decided to try a small bag of Niger seed in it - l don't recall ever seeing a single greenfinch in the garden, so having up to 7 at once on the feeder and on the supporting branches is a delight. Also, chaffinches tend to accompany the greenfinches, mainly as ground feeders, with dunnocks and other small birds. Whether they encourage occasional visits of a pied woodpecker to the peanut feeder l don't know but the woodpecker appeared around the same time as the greenfinches. Read full review

I have ordered many times various foods for the many birds who come to our garden. The prices and quality are always very good also they are based as we found out just a few miles away from us. Would recommend them.

This seed (along with sunflower hearts in a separate feeder) brings us goldfinches, Siskin and chaffinch. Coal tits plus great tits too! Maltbys redskin peanuts and suet blocks bring us woodpeckers so we rate Maltbys highly!
