Perfectly Adequate
My 2018 2L BMW 5 Series has been sitting unused in the drive for 6 weeks due to this Covid crisis and I went to turn the engine over and it failed. I borrowed a neighbours battery charger which was slow to charge. While the charger is powerful and does its job without fuss, I find that I cannot judge when the battery is likely to finish charging. One point is that there is no meter or other indication to show charging rate and therefore if the part charged battery is likely to be of use to start a car before being fully charged. Its a niggle that I knew about before ordering but It came home to me when I had to charge a battery quickly in an emergency. Another potential problem I found even before using was that the instructions state that the charger should not be used to charge 'sealed for life batteries' without constantly being checked. Since I have some of each type my old charger is still being used for the 'sealed for life batteries'. So my recommendation 'YES' comes with the proviso, not for ...
