Current slide {CURRENT_SLIDE} of {TOTAL_SLIDES}- Best Selling in Mounts & Hinges
Unlike my previous packet of stamp hinges, where most of the hinges were stuck together in big clumps (different brand and supplier). all the hinges in this packet appear to be fully serviceable. Very satisfied with the product.

I have been using stamp hinges for over 70 years and it seems to me that the quality of stamp hinges in the latter years has deteriorated badly. Why do they curl up in batches of four, which makes them tiresome to unfurl, why does this result in many creasing and why do many of them not have the sticking power of previous generations? I feel sure that the makers are not really aware of the customers' distress when they open a packet to find them not flat, not separate and lacking quality sticking power. Could it be that these hinges, after leaving the factory, are being ruined by climatic conditions during transportation? As you can see, I have many questions regarding the quality of stamp hinges of the current era and despite trying several makes I have yet to find hinges of quality in the 21st century!Read full review

As it the only brand of stamp hinges available at a reasonable price there is no point in complaining, but the annoying bit is that the hinges seem to be stuffed into the packet and you end up with loads that are mangled or badly creased and unless you have small nimble fingers it is fiddly to separate an individual hinge from the packed clumps.

I have used stamp hinges for well over 70 years now and these are the worst I have ever had. They are hard to seperate and the method advised for use is tiresome, even then a lot do not stick and are wasted and I'm not confident they will remain in place. Now I find that a couple of stamps I mounted two days ago have come of the hinge. I still have some Prinz hinges which must be 20 years old and they are far superior, a quick lick and they do the job far better, the same goes for other makes of old hinges, pity I don't have more left.

The hinges themselves are good, but the problem lies in how they are stored for example my stamp shop stacks them very very tightly together so when you open the packet they are all bent and screwed up some can be opened up but it's time consuming and I end up throwing quite a few away. However the last lot I bought off ebay were better.
