I bought this to use in a home cinema which required a 7.5 metre HDMI cable. The picture was excellent but there was no sound. With my television I had a SCART DVD player with a SCART to HDMI upscaling converter. I found that this combination would drive the long cable and the Tesco upscaling player would drive the television, where it performs faultlessly and is easier to use. The Tesco player also has a SCART output which performed faultlessly for sound and vision during integration into my systems. So I really do like this device but have a caveat on HDMI cable compatibility.

What's to say? It's a small DVD player, it works, at about the same price as many similar products. I wanted one with HDMI socket, and others I looked at either didn't say or weren't clear about which socket/s they had, so too bad for them. These things should be made plain by vendors, and the one I bought was clearly HDMI, so that was that. It is a re-boxed, 'graded' product, but appears in good nick.

A brilliant little likeable piece of equipment that is really easy to use, very slim design & gives a fantastic picture from the DVD. Definitely worth the money.

I have a couple of hard drive recorders but what I have been increasingly frustrated about was keeping favourite films that are littered with adverts. I therefore decided to go retro and get a DVBD with modern capabilites such as as usb slot. Now I can buy some great old sci fi and horror fils for 50p and keep them ad free. Brilliant!
