    A great little book and CD that every young child will enjoy!

    I bought this book to use in the nurture group I work in to use in conjunction with a lesson from the book 'It's ok to be sad'. It is a lovely realistic story of a little boy who loses his beloved toy 'Dogger' and his journey looking for it and getting it back. There is lots of scope for discussing the emotions of Dave before and after he lost Dogger, also of other peoples feelings like his big sister who helps to get Dogger back and the little girl who had bought him at a jumble sale. The children listened to the cd and were completely attentive to it. It was read clearly and had great sound effects and music that bought the story alive. Well worth every penny which is extremely good value for money! The illustrations are brilliant as Shirley Hughes books usually are with lots of detail ...
