These boots are waterproof, Good tread too. I bought a size 6 because of my wide feet and there is plenty of room for thick socks. Easy to get on and off and good length laces. The boots come up to the ankle, at that point it's tough material, and that's the only downside as the boots rub on the ankles because of the strong tops and made them sore. Remedy is to wear good thick socks. Overall quality boots, and as I wear them daily I hope they last a long time.
