I have recently returned to motorcycling. Previously, thefts of motorcycles was rare and we basically just used to park up and take the keys. However today that is not advisable. When I got my current bike I bought all sorts of security devices including a disc lock. Within the first two weeks I forgot to take the lock off the disc and consequently fell off breaking one of the foot pegs. Since I bought this cable I have never tried to drive off with the lock still attached, yes I still forget the disc lock occasionally but as I attach the cable to the throttle there is just a minor bit of swearing as I try to start the bike and notice the cable.
