Adequate, if slightly light-weight construction. Was able to get a layer of damp peat up to +30 deg.C. in a room at +20 deg.C. Internal height should be good enough to get seeds to germinate and start to produce first leaves. One issue is that if condensation forms on the inside of the cover, it may run down and drip outside the base. The narrow design is great - will fit most window sills but see note re drips.

The lid is made of very flimsy plastic and when plugged in and condensation has collected in the lid, it drips and therefore can't be put on a windowsill without spoiling it. I am now having to look for a large plastic tray to sit the propegator on- to save my wooden window sill from getting water marks.

This product is the perfect tool for any serious grow your own gardener. Its size and narrow format takes 16 3"pots. 4 more than the standard table top wide one I have used over the years, it means it fits neatly on the kitchen windowsill. The temp control is spot on. I would highly recomend this product and have done so around the allotment site where I hope to grow my own veg...one word for it. "EXCELLENT." Mr J Brookes-Wiggitt.

The heating element works ok and the base is good. But the lid is really, REALLY cheap and flimsy. I can't see it lasting very long, it spoils the thing.
