One major flaw with this product is that it has a fixed IP address of 192.168.1.1, I bought this not to use in a PC but to connect directly to my router for failover and load balancing and as most ISP providers use 192.168.1.x on their routers it causes a major issue. To get this to work with my router would mean I need to change the subnet I use for my home network and I am just not willing to do this because of one dongle, ended up buying a Huawei E3372 and it works great.

Ageing but a good 4G dongle. I have used a number of these in my work for providing internet connections for onsite laptops where there is no wi-fi available. This time I wanted a 4G dongle that could plug into a Draytek router placed by an upstairs window to get a reasonable signal, to provide good internet connection via a LAN able to a computer located in a place surrounded with thick walls where even a dongle would not give a good connection. This worked and gave good steady connection. The instructions do not mention Windows 10 support (which dates it) but these do work fine on Windows 10.

Works perfectly for me. I have it tethered permanently to an gl.inet OpenWRT router, and it works great. Fast and reliable 4G mobile broadband.

Does the job on EE ,getting around 40Mb/s up and down on 4G, setup into a D Link router which gives the wifi connection, need to reset the IP on the router otherwise both items operating on the same IP address.

I like the idea of dongles as I am not always cool with unfamiliar Wi-Fi. It is not a dongle world any more but they still have their uses.
