    Wing Mirror

    The replacement glass was fine, well made, arrived very quickly and fitted my car. However, on the old glass there was a clip which I think made a connection for the heated glass. On the new glass there was no clip, nor any mention of it, and I have no idea why. The old clip, removed with great difficulty, did not fit on the new glass, so was obviously not meant to be used in that way. I still fitted the new glass, thinking that visibility was more important than the demister. As far as the glass goes - excellent, but I think the clip should have been mentioned.

    Wrong size

    I purchased this item after having carefully read the reviews on eBay, all of which seemed to go towards an overall positive. I then received it by the correct time and tried to install it on my car. With my surprise, however, I found out that this driver side mirror replacement, althoght allegedly made for vw mk5, did not quite fit how it should within the mirror encasement. The mirror, in fact, seemed to be slightly shifted towards to left whereby it touched the plastic on the left side as well as leaving too much space on the opposite side. This impedes the normal functioning of the mirror electric adjustment system.

    This part fits like a glove, looks identical on the car to the genuine OEM VW one that flew off and smashed into a million pieces ! Mirror adjusts well, heats up as it should, top item , really recommend 👍👍

    Wrong Size for Mk5 Golf

    Despite the description claiming this mirror fits the mk5 golf, it is incorrect as it is actually smaller than the original and just does not look right when fitted. It Will have to do for now until I can get to a scrap yard and get a one than does fit properly.
