    No issues at all.

    Not wanting to pay £300+ for a towbar to be fitted at a towbar supplier I bought this for my ford transit connect 2003. I intended to fit it myself but got lazy and let someone else do it for 60 quid. The only issues he had were with the towbar holes in the van (nothing to do with the towbar) that needed cleaning out before screwing the brackets in. We did also have to buy some extra wire for the electrics and a few extra scotch clips from the local car shop, but apart from that it's all good and looks very nice to. Dont hesitate to buy this towbar if your on a budget. You really cant go wrong. A decent bar at a great price. Very happy.

    Use shims behind RHS chassis plate before fitting

    The towbar arrived very quickly and is very solid. The reason I'm giving it 3 stars is that the chassis plate on the driver's side squashes the diesel filler pipe and if fitted like that could have split the pipe. My workaround was to fit 3x 5mm thick (i.e. 15mm of shim ) large square washers behind the plate before bolting it up. This meant that the rear section then bolted nicely to the OUTSIDE of the two chassis plates, rather than the inside as shown on the instructions Another hint, clean out the chassis captive nuts very thoroughly, they get full of mud.

    Easy

    With trepidation we opened the box with the vehicle on 250mm high diy ramps. All heavy duty quality and all boltholes perfectly aligned! Tip - some of the holes on the body chassis were covered with tape before spraying and we soon found them. All chassis holes threaded ready for towbar! All-in-all basic tools and an afternoon will see the fitting and wiring of the tow bar finished! Check out the seperate 7-way bypass box thats also available that powers the trailer lights. Easy to wire with the clear instructions in the pack, and it doesn't show a fault on the management system. 5star product at a very reasonable price
