Brilliant bright bulbs
I actually bought these for my caravan. I needed led bulbs that were not canbus error free, as I want to have as little load as possible. These are fantastic, draw very little load at 12v, but are still very bright. They are bright white with a hint of blueish colour, absolutely perfect for my needs. I can't recommend them enough. Trying to find led bulbs that aren't canbus compatible isnt easy, if it has a load resistor of any kind and then the current draw is nearly the same as a standard incandescent bulb. For older cars that don't have complex bulb failure systems, these should be perfect for nice instant bright light. Skoda 2012 BA15s DRL Failure
First impressions were to be of good quality, certainly an improvement over previous LED DRL's. Fitted without issue (simple push & twist fit) to replace the OEM bulbs. After installation & upon switching on the ignition, no codes appeared on the dash or errors displayed of 'light out/check bulb'..so far, so good. I wouldn't say they were pure white, there was clearly a blue tint given off but they were certainly brighter than standard. However, within approx 5days of fitment without any tell tale signs of forthcoming failure one of them just stopped working & sure enough a warning light appeared on the vehicles dash. No flickering, no obvious signs of burning out, no rattles. I cleaned the pins/connections & even swapped over the bulbs but nothing. I had hoped they would at least ... I was really pleased when I first lit those LEDs. The output was excellent, the color was a bluish white, nicely complementing my 6000K xenons. And there were no errors on the dash. That lasted for about two weeks, then the first check bulb error came up. I chalked it to the low current these were drawing, compared to normal bulbs and ignored the warning. However I noticed the light output was somewhat reduced. And it has been steadily going downhill from that. About a month in, the light output is so low, I will have to throw these away, since they can no longer count as lighting anything.I was really pleased when I first lit those LEDs.
