    Finally sorted that annoying intermittent misfire

    The vanos has not been correct on my BMW 116 since I purchased it from a dealer in 2018. Despite having a full service history the plugs had never been changed and oil change intervals had gone as long as 20,000 miles. The car always seemed to have a slight misfire and sometimes lacked power although it did improve somewhat every time I changed the oil. I had a new camchain tensioner as they are a known BMW weakness, it helped a bit. I had a remap which helped a bit more. I changed the plugs which were so worn the electrodes where burnt down into the insulator tips. This helped a lot but the annoying little misfire still appeared here and there despite better engine performance. Finally I swapped out the vanos solenoid rubbers which had been leaking down the engine. Although one of ...

    Good fit as per OEM but made with the better rubber. Note: as the seals are new it requires a good amount of pushing to get both solenoids seated correctly even with a smear of oil on the new seals. No oil leaks after fitting.

    Upgraded seals

    Definitely recommend these seals,they are a massive upgrade compared to the original seals sold with car from new.no leaks at all now even when accelerating nothing is pushed through solenoid seals any more. Great value great quality
