    VW Golf Nearside Replacement Mirror

    Arrived securely packed, however the mirror was slightly different to the original. The mirror shape & motor retaining surround was identical, the slight difference was there was no metal guide clip. However the mirror was very easy to fit. Using "youtube", there are videos showing how to replace the mirror.

    Incorrect fitment

    I purchased the door mirror glass for my so’s car. The old one was replaced with this new one. It’s the same size shape and thickness but the clips on the back of the mirror are either too small or in the wrong position. The mirror keeps popping out of the housing and the electrical connection terminals are a slightly larger size.

    Looking back

    Difficult to rate...it will get you out of a situation however it's a pattern part. Pattern parts require wrestling to fit. I got mine to "fit" .(just). But it's also not quite fitted snugly and consequently it vibrates with the inevitable blurred image. Going to change mine for OE.

    Good mirror, poor backing plate

    Did not fit tightly and not complete. I am expecting to have to replace it with VW part at twice the cost but at least it will not fall out for another 5 years!
