Wow, A rightfully deserved review for a great book. Nothing I can say can do the book justice but; I only got the book a few hours ago but can't put it down !! Very thick, loads of illustrations and so many recipes I feel you could probably live on the contents of the book and not just live but have scrummy meals that will make you go looking for more. (+tipsy drinks ). The author should be very proud of this book. It will be inspiring myself to not just use for prepping but to forage to make some truly tempting treats and foods you just cannot find in the shop. It is without doubt the most informative book about foraging I have read so far. Not just vague snippets but a complete start to finish of loads of free food. I absolutely recommend this book to preppers,lovers of natural foods or Eco/green gourmet's. I never realised the UK had such variety of wild foods. I can't wait to start making them. This book is my new "goto"/ number one book on foraging. I do intend to send my appreciation to the author. How can you have a foraging book without any images?! You have no visual guidance with this book and I would not feel confident foraging for plants based on a description alone. Very disappointing.

As I am a bit of a prepper, This book is great it is full of information on what is good to eat, where to find it and the time of year that it is available. In addition it has recipes and advice on how to prepare and cook the food and the herbs and spices to accompany it. If you are out for a country walk and want play a game with your kids " who can find the most things to eat " or if you are lost in the woods this is the book for you.

I got this book for my partner she liked the idea of picking wild edibles after her friend showed her wild garlic growing in the local wood. This book for a beginner is useless lots of words and no pictures to verify the identity of anything found.
