A good book describing the intricate variation of chord notes, scales and the relationship of different chords. Jazz theory can be pretty heavy stuff and this goes through most of the things players will come up against. It's good vale for the size of book. You might also be interested in the Mark Levine book 'The Jazz Theory Book' whcih is a bit more aimed at keyboard players.

Great book, very thorough,I first got it out of library and was so impressed I brought my own copy.I brought the book to bolster my theory for a degree course ,and its helped me do just that,it forces you to do the exercises in all 12 keys which really makes you think about key signatures ,etc
