    Compact robust unit

    Great unit. Would work best on magnetic surface such as the steel bed of a lathe or mill, but is weighty enough to also work well an all aluminium base. For best accuracy it would be better to use a substantial steel plate (5mm thick, 70 X 70 mm) on all non magnetic base plates.

    INEXPENCIVE PRESISSION

    Arrived well ahead of ETA . Felt slightly disappointed as instruction leaflet was a bit sparse to say the least(non existant infact) For the price paid this is a very good item and very usable with patience I recommend this item as it totally does what it says on the tin.

    Small dial gauge and stand.

    For the price the gauge and stand is good value. It seems to be fairly accurate and is okay for work where absolute accuracy is not so important. Unfortunately mine arrived with a crack in the dial glass which doesn't affect the operation of the gauge but may let moisture in over time.
