The WP810 Wifi Phone works great. There were some complaints about provisioning, but I use this with a Unifi wifi network, and it works flawless. There are no disconnects, and roaming is very efficient (and aggressive, which means it roams quickly and efficiently between APs). I can see it being difficult to provision dozens of these at the same time, but if you are only provisioning a few, it is fast and easy. My suggestion is to use an AP with an easy SSID and password for first time setup, then once it is connected, you can access the AP via the web interface just like every other Grandstream. It also supports opus, so the quality is better than phones not supporting opus. Q & A: Is this worth it? Yes, if you need a compact, high quality, wifi phone. This is probably the best wifi phone of its time. Is it good looking? Yes, and its small form factor makes it even more aesthetic. It doesn't need a large base station like DECT phones do. Everything is built into the phone itself so it takes up less room, less wires, and doesnt need a base station. For those wanting to cut back on wires, this is as small as it gets. Is it as good as a DECT phone? Yes and no. Its true DECT has longer range, however because this is a wifi phone, the range is as far as your wifi access points allows, so if you have many APs, the range can actually be much much further than a DECT phone. Keep that in mind, because if you only have 1 AP, then the range may be less. This phone shines with a decent wifi setup. For me, I have multiple APs on 5Ghz in my business so range is no issue, and roaming is seamless. In summary, I wish I had one of these sooner, and its likely if you get one, you will want another.Read full review
