This is a good camera for someone looking for a slightly older model that can be used as a beginner's camera. With a few accessories this camera can be modded with just about any size filter or lens allowing great adaptability on the fly. The only downside to this camera is that it is a later Olympus model requiring a unique Olympus Smartmedia Card, the usual CF,SD,MSD,XD, cards simply won't fit. And those cards are expensive and don't hold much on them, that being said the camera itself has no internal memory. But besides those flaws, if your looking for an easy to use camera for a budding photographer the Olympus Camedia C3030Z is a good camera for anyone.
I paid $1000 + for this camera about 5 years ago. Now can get one on E-bay for ~ $20.00. Great camera, easy to use. Best part is it uses readily available AA batteries! And they last a long time in the camera. I keep one camera in my vehicle and another in my office. Olympus was my camera of choice in Vietnam and still is!
While out of production, this digital is part of the Olympus line of high quality digital cameras. While I have a Pentex digital with 300mm zoom, this C-3030 is handy for a huge variety of quick snapshots w/wo flash and limited wide and telephoto enhancements. A very good digital camera for 2x the money!

I've had this camera before and I've always really liked it. Fantastic features and pic quality.

This camera was great for me. I purshase this camera new about 13 years ago and used it for engineering work out in the field and it worked great. The only down side is that it ate a large amount of battery power so suggesting numerous rechargable batteries -NiCa. Note that Olympus dosn't service this camera any more. This is a great back-up camera for your regular camera.
