I really didn’t want to get an amplifier for my music listening set up so I was in the market for the best powered speakers under 1000 dollars. I eventually settled on these and I’m glad I did. These are pretty powerful and the bass eq feature on them works really nicely, and if you don’t like it, you can turn it off. Bluetooth capabilities are integrated into the speaker itself. A lot of input choices, even HDMI arc which I hope more speaker manufacturers start including. The sound quality is great. You definitely get what you pay for. I listen to mostly vinyl off my set up and the brightness associated with klipsch really balances out with the warmth of records for a deep yet clear sound. I listen to every genre imaginable on it and it sounds good. Even at the lower volumes you get fantastic sound. They look really nice as well. Really slick looking bookshelf speakers. Overall, these are awesome and I’ve been extremely happy with my purchase, for what I needed in my life, they are really the perfect speaker.Read full review

These are pretty smart looking speakers.I have the black but think the Walnut has a nicer aesthetic. Not too big for the bass they can put out. The App is pretty much useless for these at this point. So, I'll try to be to the point with My pros and cons. Pros- 1. Look nice 2. Size 3. Bass 4. Connectivity 5. Remote Cons 1. Sound is muffled, lacks definition. Veiled. 2. No EQ in the App. This might help I think with my first con. 3. This surprised me. The volume doesn't ramp up in a linear fashion. It has a very low volume up to about halfway, say 0-20% and then with a few clicks of the remote it goes to 80%. Overall and as some others have noted, I was expecting to be blown away. Unfortunately I wasn't. I'm still looking to fine tune but I am not sure if I will keep them. It shouldn't be this hard. I paired with an older Klipsch sub and honestly it sounded awful, the sub went from tuneful in it's original setup to one note even after playing with the remote's settings. I could be missing something here and have tried using the Sub button to turn off the dynamic eq. I've cut some foam to put in the port to see if that would help but no luck. I am open to suggestions and really want to like these but as of right now I wouldn't recommend them. Read full review

As monitor/bookshelf speakers, these really shine. Klipsch has been making high end speakers for a very long time. This is a modern version of the traditional loudspeaker, but smaller. They have a pretty flat sound, which is great, and the sound improves after a bit of a break in period. Add a parametric equalizer to customize the curve, if you so desire. A subwoofer helps because the frequency of these only go down to 50 hertz, so that super deep bass isn't there. It also has a really cool feature when you add a powered sub, it runs through a different crossover formula giving a much cleaner sound. It has a built in pre amp which allows you to hook these up to most anything. I use mine through my computer. I also hooked up a turntable and it sounds great! No need to add a preamp.

I walked into a local hi-fi audio/video showroom a few months back. I was looking for a set of powered speakers to dedicate to playing records on my turntable. The salesman demonstrated a pair of the fives by Klipsch. Already being a Klipsch fan, the only thing scaring me about them was the price..$900. After I left, I looked on Ebay and found a slightly used pair for a much more affordable price in my range. I bought em, got em, played em, and Love em! I highly recommend them.

Sounds great. Realistic theater sound. Paired with a sub base woofer it should be awesome. I first saw these at Costco for two hundred more. These look just as good.
